International Weekend 2008
Dear Sir/Madam,
As you well know, the Dutch Bull Terrier Club had its second international weekend last year. The event started with the Championship Club Match with a record of 209 entries, where both winning sexes could earn 2 CC’s. This show was followed by a great Dinner Dance Party. The next day we had the European Country competition show with a total of 8 competing countries, showing their best Bull Terriers. The countries that where present where Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden and Holland sadly Spain cancelled at the last moment at the show.
The judging of this last show was done by three judges with special judging regulations to keep the judging as objective as possible. We can only say that this special International weekend was a great success again.
The board of the Dutch Bull Terrier Club is happy to inform you they have decided to organize a third international weekend this year 15 and 16 November on the same basis as we did last year. So there will be another Country competition, preceded by an open Championship Club Match that can also be entered by the competitors who enter the Country Competition. This year the Bull Terrier Club of England has assured us they will do an utmost effort to get a team from the UK together to represent the UK in the countries competition.
The program for Saturday exists from an Championship show, where the winner at the males as well as at the bitches can gain 2 CAC's. The reserve winner at the males as well as at the bitches is rewarded with 1 complete CAC. The participating dog which becomes best of the day (B.O.B.) gets the title Club Winner 2008!
Judges for the Champion Club Match are Mr. and Mrs. Poole (Rocky Top) from the USA.
The registration and Hotel booking form will soon be available on the website of the N.B.T.C.
Connecting on the Champion Club Match follows a great Dinner Dance Party.
You can submit an application for this Dinner Dance Party, which exists from a delicious buffet with a connecting sociable dancing evening! Of course there is also a hotel available. You can reserve a hotel room exclusively through the Dutch Bull Terrier Club to enjoy the Countries Competition the next day.
Reservation forms for the buffet with the connecting sociable dance evening and reservation forms for stay overnight will soon be available to be downloaded from the club’s website.
On Sunday the Unique Country Competition is kept, where the judges Mr. David Harrison (Sandawana) South Africa, Mr Stephen Craven (Sugerbay) Australia and Mrs. Norma Smith (Magor) Canada prepared has found there selves according to a certain point system independently of each other this inspect Country Competition.
The point system is easy understood, for both participants and witnesses, how the competition feeling is experienced by everyone!
For the country competition every participating country is asked 8 delegate Bull Terriers bred from own country. The delegated dogs are free of registration fee and are only possible presented by concerned country/association.
The Country Competition is classified in 4 classes;
- Male dogs < 2 years
- Bitches < 2 years
- Male dogs > 2 years
- Bitches > 2 years
Natural we seeing these dogs also gladly contending on the Champion Club Match. Participation for the Champion Club Match is possible by means of individual registration and after payment of the registration fee.
